Marc Cernigilia B.S., M.B.A., E.I.T., C.E.I., Founder, Principal, and Member of the firm: has over twenty- five years of experience in service operations, consulting, and general management. Mr.Cerniglia was a consultant with strategy consultancy of Booz & company – formerly Booz.Allen & Hamilton – where he advised executives of fortune 500 companies on matters of strategy and service operations management. His elevator experience includes running field operations for Otis Elevator Company in New York City and performing strategic planning at its world headquarters. Prior to founding Ascent, he was the executive in charge of North American field operations for the Stanley Work’s Access Technologies product group, a manufacturer, installer, and service provider of automatic entrances. Before beginning his private sector career, Mr.Cerniglia was an armor and cavalry officer in the United States Army. His professional certifications include Engineer-in-training in the Commonwealth of Virginia and Certified Elevator Inspector in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers “Standard for the Qualification of Elevator Inspectors”, A.S.M.E. QEI-2004. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an elective concentration in civil engineering. In addition, Mr.Cerniglia holds a Master of Business Administration degree in general management from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
